Beauty Empties and How To recycle them

I have the biggest amount of empties that I have been collecting for nearly a year to show you but I always seem to forget but I have recently trying to declutter my home and my life and that includes getting rid of all this trash so I'll be posting 10 empties every week :) For each empties post I'll be also showing how to recycle all this packaging!

*Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Body Lotion 250ml for £22.50 here --> https://fave.co/2zulqRN
I've had this lotion for the longest time, I think this line launched maybe 3/4 years ago (so long it has since been repackaged). It's very hydrating and lightweight gel like lotion, contains squalane and glycerine. It smells of sea, really enjoyed using it but I'm transitioning to being fully cruelty free and will no longer be supporting this brand - would not repurchase.

*Neal's Yard Deliciously Ella Rose, Lime & Cucumber Body Wash 185ml - Discontinued
No need to dwell on how much I enjoyed this body wash because it's been discontinued. Was ok, not my favorite but not the worst in the world.
Couldn't find the full ingredients list online anymore, as this was a partnership with Deliciously Ella, it was fully Vegan, Neal's Yard is Leaping Bunny Certified, Organic Certified by the Soil Association and Carbon Neutral (you can read their entire commitements here) - would repurchase.

*ONEOSEVEN Coreflex Essential Liquid 50ml  for £47 here --> https://fave.co/3cYUjMb
Actually really enjoyed this mist, it can be a bit oily in the summer (if you have oily skin), but it's great in the winter. The mister itself was a bit funny and kinda squirts product rather giving me a fine mist. It has some beneficial ingredients to the skin like Rice Extract and Arbutin (both great for brightening the skin) - I personally didn't see any brightening but it's not something I'm looking for. I Couldn't find any info on ONEOSEVEN cruelty free status and it's also quite pricey so will most likely not repurchase.

ONEOSEVEN Coreflex Essential Liquid Ingredients List: Aspergillus/Yeast/Rice Fermentation Filtrate, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Butylene Glycol, Arbutin, Purified Water, PEG/PPG-18/4 Copolymer, Pentylene Glycol, Vinegar, Adenosine, Lactobacillus / Soy Milk Fermentation Filtrate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Allantoin, Safflower Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance.

*Dr Wu Extra Hydrating Lotion with Hyaluronic Acid 50ml $31 here -> https://fave.co/2AAtKjc
I loved this lotion so much I had two of them, it's very lightweight but soooooo hydrating. It's is also fragrance free. In a 10 step K-Beauty routine, lotions are typically applied after serum and before moisturiser but I have noticed that my skin reacts better to less products so I've been dialing back on my routines, using less products and use this lotion in place of my moisturiser. It works perfectly, if you have oily, normal and/or dehydrated skin you will love this lotion! If you have dry skin, you might need something a bit heavier or maybe you can use this underneath your creams. I couldn't find any info on the brand's cruelty free status so I have asked and I'm awaiting reply (will update when they do). The decision to whether I repurchase or not will be based on their reply.

Dr Wu Extra Hydrating Lotion with Hyaluronic Acid Ingredients List: Aqua, Butylene Glycol, Triethylhexanoin, Squalane, Glyceryl Stearate, Steareth-2, Stearic Acid, Hydrolyzed Yeast Extract, Carbomer, Triethanoamine, Cetyl Palmitate, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Betaine, Steareth-21, Stearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Glycerin, Potassium Glycyrrhizinate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Protein, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cetyl Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polyglucuronic Acid, Scutellaria Alpina Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Alpinia Galanga Leaf Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Lecithin, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate.

*Healavie Cleansing Oil Gel 150ml for $35 here --> https://fave.co/3foW4Ef
I've reviewed this cleanser not too long ago, you can read it here (https://fave.co/2Yv3BKS) my opinion maintains. Really like this cleanser but would not repurchase as I haven't found any info on their CF status.

Rituals Ritual of Dao Balancing Foaming Shower Gel 200ml for £8.50 Discontinued
Rituals is one of my favourite body care brands (and my boyfriend's as well) and I just recently learnt they are cruelty free! For some reason I was under the impression that Rituals despite being cruelty-free did sell their products in China (which requires animal testing) but that is not the case which is great news. You can read the full statement here. Their products are super luxurious, I love the shower foams and body butters. Ritual of Dao was my favorite scent, but it has been unfortunately discontinued. Will definitely look into other scents and will most certainly repurchase their products.

Rituals Ritual of Dao Body Cream 220ml for £18.50 Discontinued
Rituals body creams are among some of my favorites, they smell delicious, they are luxurious and so indulgent! As I said earlier Ritual of Dao has been my favorite for years but it has been discontinued. I love the fact the they sell body cream refills which contain considerable less plastic so I'll be keeping the jar to use the refills with.

Tropic is rapidly becoming one of my favorite brands in general. All products are 100% vegan, cruelty free and as a brand they are carbon neutral. I have a few of their face products to review soon. As for this hand lotion let me tell you that a hand cream never lasted so little time on my bathroom. My boyfriend loved this, I've never seen him creaming his hands so much. It has a mild lemon scent, it's light but very hydrating. Would definitely repurchase.

Neulii Tea Tree Blemish Control Serum 100ml - Discontinued
Do discontinued seems to be the word of the day :) Will not bother to talk much about this serum, didn't do anything to my skin, ended up using in on my arms to help my KP. It was ok. Would not repurchase.

Rodial Stem Cell Cleanser 200ml - https://fave.co/2MVtCxn
It's one of my favorite cleansers, I've gone through to multiple tubs of this. Love it as a second cleanse, especially in the winter, really helps hydrate my skin. I'm afraid it's also been discontinued as I've only managed to find the mini one online. I've gotten these 2 for £7.99 at TKMaxx and I wish I had gotten more. Rodial is cruelty free and has many vegan options as well.

Rodial Stem Cell Cleanser Ingredients List: Aqua (Water), Capric/Caprylic Triglyceride, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Propylene Glycol, Rosa Multiflora Cera, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil Polyglyceryl-6 Esters, Tocopherol, Parfum (Fragrance), Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Dehydroacetic Acid, Triethanolamine, Isomalt, Rhododendron Ferrugineum Leaf Cell Culture Extract, Lecithin, Sodium Benzoate, Lactic Acid, CI 17200 (FD&C Red No. 33), Aplha-Isomethylionone, Citronellol, Limonene.

RECYCLING BEAUTY PACKAGING

I will soon make an in depth post on how to recycle your beauty packaging, but this is taking me a long time to compile so after every empties post I'll show you how I'm recycling these empties. Please note that each country has different recycling rules so do make sure to check for your own country.

Wash all your packaging and disassemble all removable parts and mixed materials: pumps, caps etc; and remove all labels.

In the UK only items without mixed materials get recycled through the council. Anything else will be dumped in landfill, so from all the parts I showed above, these are the only parts I'll put in the recycling bin.

All pumps, atomisers, etc don't normally get recycled and should be disposed in the normal rubbish but luckily some stores, like Neals Yard Remedies, where you can bring these hard to recycle items and they will make sure these don't end up in a landfill or worst, in the ocean. So I'll be bringing these to a Neal's Yard Store as soon as the quarantine is lifted. You can read more about this program here.

Products marked with * were press samples.
