Evening Skincare Routine

I have a very strict skincare routine because I think it's the first step for perfect-glowing skin. My routine changes all the time as I adjust it daily to my skin's needs. At the moment my skin is feeling very tight and dehydrated and this is what I have been using AFTER removing my makeup:

I bough this Superdrug Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser after Kate, from Gh0stparties, raved about it. I don't find it amazing but is costs £5.99 and it does the job. I don't think it's brightening at all. Don't expect a super pampering cleanser as it is not, it's a plain thick creamy balm. There is another version of this, the Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser which I would also like to try but I doubt it is better than my all time favorite: the Boots Botanics Hot Cloth Cleanser

I usually don't use face scrubs, I prefer chemical peels, but every time my skin is a little drier than usual I think a physical exfoliator works better for me and for that this ESPA Skin Refining Polish* (£26) is a favorite. It's super fine and it can be a little harsh so you can't be heavy handed with it but I quite like it. It leaves my skin super smooth and clean. Please note that I don't use this everyday.

After exfoliating I like to spritz a little toner and this Elemis Rehydrating Ginseng Toner (£17). It instantly plumps up my skin and it balances and soothes my skin after the exfoliation. It feels really quenching on my face, this one is almost empty and I definitely repurchase. It's one of my favorite toners E-V-E-R and a must have for dehydrated skin.

I am obsessed with serums, specially hydrating serums, the Hydraluron is not really a favorite but it cost £25 and I have to use it. I know a lot of you rave about how amazing it is but it just doesn't work for me. Some Hydraluron advocates have told me that it doesn't for me because maybe I don't really need it but if there is a dehydrated skin out there, it is mine! I've done a lot of skin tests, from someone touching my to the latest high-tech face examining machines and what they all say is my skin is perfect but it's very dehydrated, no matter what I use, and it keeps dehydrated even after using the Hydraluron. If you're like me, just leave me a comment and can write a post about my water boosting favorites.

After my serum usually follow with a face oil and I literally just started using this Caudalie Premier Cru Elixir* (£49) two days ago so I don't have much to say about it than it smells really nice and glides on the skin beautifully. It's a hybrid between a serum and a dry oil and absorbs really quickly without leaving a residue.

I then follow with eye cream and I am currently using this Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye (£40), which I've reviewed HERE. It's not my favorite at all and I feel it doesn't do anything for me, I'll use for a couple more weeks and I'll retire it.

Last but not least I use a night cream, I don't really the point in using a dedicated night cream but I have a lot of them and need to use them. This Biotherm Aquasource Nuit is really good, it's a kind of a jelly and it quenches my skin instantly, I really enjoy using it. This one is almost empty and the only reason why I won't repurchase (yet) is because I have 12 more night creams on my stash awaiting their time.

Like I said I don't use the same products every night, obviously I don't exfoliate every night and I sometimes like to throw in a sleeping mask but these are the products I have been reaching for lately. Do you have a specific routine or you like to adapt to your skins needs? x
